Narrow and Wide Path the Nigeria Child
The Nigeria child clever and intelligent full of great maneuvers and well talented preparing for what the future holds for them. Living in a filthy environment full of vices and offense, trying to skirmish out of it to make a bright future. Listening to promises made by past leaders some decades antecedent that never materialized. The great rosebud of chance opened up repeatedly. And we beheld the frail petals of national promise on parade grounds laid out like the terminal triumph presided over by God Himself. Nigerian children, beautiful, innocent and resplendent in their parade uniforms which spoke well of their designers’ healthy respect for the rainbow,Tods 我想我是真的很爱你, marched with their microscopic feet to the melody and sound of that promise.
Children’s Day. The juvenile came out in their best, wearing their agreeable manners with a profound sense of achievement, to heart the information for the nth time: the future belongs to them. They are the future captains of Nigeria. The antique are only regents waiting dutifully for the kings and queens to grow up. That message has the elderly, rusty see of a threadbare cliché. But it is still a agreeable message because it is the promise of the present to the future. Every generation is obliged to keep that torch of promise flaming.
One marvels what went on in the little ideas as the little couples of ears listened to the messages from our governors delivered appropriately in vigorous voices,How apt Send Monapt to Thailand_4044, a across between the parade team underneath and the habitudes of an ill-prepared orator. They heard, favor children and teens and adults ahead them had heard more periods than 1, that the Bible is forever right: the road to self and citizen destruction was cautiously constructed by Old Nick employing Italian road builders.
The road namely broad, well-paved and straight for one pointer. They listened that road is no a super expressway; it is a cul de sac. At the end of it, death, shame and destruction prevaricate in await as those with ears but won’t heat. Those who take it end up in the slammer or by that the tortuous, diagonal, restricted footpath, scarcely wide ample apt take a bike, which slits through tough terrains, is the right road. It leads to happiness. Those who take it are wise. Said the president “the road apt success and greatness may be hard rugged merely its reward is the joy and satisfaction of fulfilment;”
There is no knowing but what alternative of our kids have made. We will must wait a few annuals accordingly to know which they found more magnetic, the thundering tawdry of the ceremony or the tingling tinsel of exhortations. What occurred, of way, was that at the end of the parades, the little ones returned to their alter homes.
The children of the rich, the mighty and the confidential, returned in their father’s huge automobiles to the splendid buildings where liveried waiters minister faithfully to their infantile absences. Their ceremonial divide had finished. What the parade floor joined together was put asunder by the cruelty of the social system.
The babies of the penniless and the underprivileged returned family aboard wonderful homes- rat cavities at the deadened of the great divide, plastered with privation, paved with lost wish and blanketed with yam and cassava peels and rotten vegetables. There, these tiny Nigerians who had just heard the well-oiled sermon on the moralities of hard work and uprightness, clutching the mini green white-green flags of hope to their little fluttering hearts, ambition sit to wait for the day that the promise given to them will be performed.
The children on both sides of good life are too young to query. But it must be confusing to them that even surrounded them, some are privileged and others are not. They must wonder why some children are more equal than others. The children in the well-appointed homes must wonder whether their parents got to where they are because they took the narrow and straight path exhorted by the leaders. These kids will wonder if their parents worked hard and are now acquiring the sweet rewards of hard work. At the other end, the underprivileged children will wonder where their parents went erroneous. Did they take the wide, Italian-constructed highway to perdition or did they nay to work hard? Why are they alive at the base of the ladder? Are they reaping the rich rewards of indolence or what went wrong?
Poor children, they will receive no responses to these and other answers, because society has no answers to them; even adults are muddled, because this and each society is terribly curious, It preaches virtue but lives vice, because vice constantly pays. It preaches hard work but lives indolence, because often indolence has instant reward; it preaches a narrow path but takes the wider super highway because the narrow path is a long, hideous cruise.
Many who take it never arrive. They die, tiresome, disappointed and sorrowful. This country does not lack hard working, genuine folk. But in the everyday, fierce struggles for survival, they get crushed below the feet by the untruthful and the idle. They don’t sow but they reap; they don’t walk but they arrive; they don’t do but they get. How so?
No one knows. That is why every society puts its hope and aspiration in the future. The future is when anything good happens. The future asylums no corruption and other vices. It makes sense, accordingly, to draw the beautiful picture of the future because, luckily for us, we won’t be there when it comes. Our children will. And what they make of it will be their business.
We can only hope that at catching the rumble out of fuel and putting it in the pistol, less culprits will stand up when the future arrives; we can merely hope that by washing up our towns and cities, we will hand over to them a banner without smudge and avenues without nonsense; we can merely hope that by refusing to let children whose parents display absence of municipal responsibility in disbursing tariffs go to educate, traditional ploughing usages will survive in the future; we can only hope that by act what the pelicans do, there will be not dynamic muddle when the future arrives; we can only hope that by putting yesterday’s men of power and influence in the slammer, when the future arrives, there will be none with itchy fingers.
No present generation of Nigerians tin do extra because the hereafter is now.
