Glasses accessories and spectacle cases
The high street does not seem to cater for glasses accessories. You get the free glasses case supplied with your prescription spectacles but it always looks cheap!
I got a cheap plastic glasses case with my spectacles and I went on the hunt to get a new better looking one on the high street, only to be turned away at every opticians and the shops that did have cases to sell were trying to sell me the same case that came with my glasses!
So I started looking online, as we seem to do more and more now. I found many stockiest online selling funky cases from leather glasses case, chrome cases, and hundreds of spectacle cords and chains.
The leather case wasn't for me, but I can see them going down very well as a gift at Christmas. I decided to try out two cases; one was a chrome shiny finish specs case and the other a microfiber bag as I was advised these could be used for both storage and cleaning of the glasses lenses.
I started looking further and discovered that you can even purchase specs online now, the largest online store seems to be glassesdirect but there were literally hundreds.
Prescription glasses were coming in at £15.00 upwards, I couldn't believe it. I wouldn't wear them as I like branded eyewear like Oakley but still very cheap and it looks as though half the online store do designer as well anyway.
