The long-established hybrid specialist says it's brought all of its 25 years of experience to bear on the new models with a new Mountain Cross Trainer – MXT – chassis and some serious work on the rest of the shoe.
The new shoes in both men's and women's versions feature an aggressively lugged outsole with a reverse lug E-Brake area on the heel for downhill traction and the wet rock-friendly Spider 365 rubber compound for wet grip.
There's a compression-moulded EVA mid-sole with a blended PU/EVA Shoc Pad heel section claimed to transfer the energy of heel strike evenly through the footbed and then use it to give added spring on push off plus a TPU stiffening plate for stability and a glass-filled nylon shank for stiffness.
