Other than that, there is no "play all" feature when inside the DVD. This makes you navigate through their menu. That would not be so bad, but the menu (though a novel concept) becomes frustratingly slow to interface with.
In order to view any entire disc you must enter the menu where you'll see space ships docking into the menu (depending on the season, the type of spaceship will change: borg cubes, delta flyer, etc.) To get to an episode, you must The Wire dvd 1-5 click on a spaceship which will painstakingly slowly fly away and then dock on the episode screen. Then you have to click "launch" to play the episode. It is slow and quickly buy MASH series seasons loses its novelty.Other than that, it's Voyager! (My favorite of all the Star Treks.) And, at about $300, its not a bad price. I just wish they would have thought things through with the packaging and interface.
I love Voyager! It's a great series with outsanding characters, acting, and plotlines.
What I don't love, though, is the DVD casing on this set. Like others have said, it's a cheap case that makes you handle Angel 1-5 seasons set with extra care for fear of damaging the DVDs. The DVDs are a little difficult to get out & are not very well protected. Each season opens like a plastic book with a DVD a page.Each season/plastic book is "protected" by a thin plastic Grey's Anatomy 1-6 box set dvd on the top and bottom that slide off and on albeit with Rescue Me episodes collection some difficulty.Voyager is an incredible series.
I am disappointed that it was given this cheap case.
I just purchased this set used for $185 here on Amazon. All discs look brand new, as do the cases. I have read numerous reviews here The King of Queens season 1-9 boxset complaining about the cases, and I don't get what all the fuss is about. The cases are fine. Sturdy enough, in fact, that all 7 arrived safely in a plain priority mail box with no inner packing (no newspaper, no bubble wrap, nothing). Not one disc case is cracked, all DVDs still fit firmly in their place. VOYAGER is a terrific series, and the price right now is amazing. I have been waiting to buy this for years and it was worth the wait. If you are considering this purchase, don't let these packaging reviews stop you from enjoying this set. It's fantastic.
I bought the set for my husband as a gift, so I didn't mind spending the money as this is all he asked for. We started watching two or three episodes,or more, a night purchase MASH season dvds when summer reruns began.
Wow, this is better than anything on TV now. We did Star Trek The Original complete season 1-3 not have a UPN station and did not get to see it when it was on. To be able to watch the characters develop (with out commercial interruption) and the stories unfold has been the delight of our summer. Star Trek Deep Space Nine series complete 1-7 There Doctor Who dvd boxset 1-5 are some so-so episodes but I can forgive that because of the really exceptionally good shows they did.
The characters are unique and most of the stories are strong. If you are a Trekker and want a good TV watch then spend the money. There was no problem with our packaging at all. I'm glad we own this and I'm sure in a few years we will watch it again.
