Well, today, I am happy to announce that we are reviewing EVERY SINGLE RESUME that matches the positions for which my team recruits and is submitted through our website or email address. What are the requirements for matching? We are using especially, pretty loose search criteria (think one or two words at most),
Buy Office 2007, and you can probably gather what those terms are by reading the bulk of our core technical job descriptions. Right now, the duty of reviewing each resume falls to me … but Zo"e has no idea about the fun she’s in for when she returns from vacation. I have to say the idea of reviewing each resume as it comes enters our system really excites me. Certain, it can be tedious work, but I love that I can potentially help even more applicants navigate through our process. What if I miss you? Not to worry. Once your resume is in our system, our other 200+ recruiter can still do the typical Boolean searches against its contents … but my original review just inserts an extra safety net. In a perfect world, I’d love to generate an e-mail each time I review a resume to let the applicant know his or her resume has been reviewed and explain a little more about the next steps in the process (or feedback as to why I won’t be taking future action.) But for now, we still have no infrastructure in place to perform this type of high touch communication. (We do have our automated email once someone applies that explains the process though.) Anyway,
