If you do find yourself to be completely in your head or for some other reason need to re-start the scene, just do it. Don't ask, just confidently say "Let's start over again" or something to that effect and then tell them you need a minute (if you do) or get focused and wait for the camera to start rolling again. As I frequently tell my students, they want you to do well so if you're not quite there, get into the zone and do it again. It's a win/win.In conclusion
######## Ray Ban Sunglasses, I'll just say that acting is a difficult endeavor and requires the utmost belief and confidence in oneself. Entering a casting room with anything other than complete chutzpah in what you are doing is a casting death-sentence. Treat the people in the room like they are your friends (they are) and relax and have fun with the experience. Then you will do your best and quite possibly book that job!
Horses
Let the owner position the horse and get another person to attract its attention by waving gently a towel or shake the food bucket to get that alert look with the ears forward and nostrils wide open.
Sometimes using another horse behind the photographer can work well or even a mint, a carrot or some fresh grass in the hand of the assistant is worth trying for getting their attention.
If you've ever taken any Family Photos which involves very small children or even watched anyone doing baby portrait photography then you will have noticed that there is one thing they all have in common with Pet Photography and that's the unpredictability of the subject.
Photographing Dogs
Be sure to choose the location that will allow you to capture your animals best personality traits and character. Maybe you can find a local park with a stream for an active dog or capture them bounding through a long grassy field.
Taking your dog for a walk first will help to burn off some excess energy but also give you some actions shots. Throw a stick or a ball and take some great mid-air shots.
If your dog gets wet then with your camera on high speed, wait for it to shake it's coat an snap away to get those great pictures of the spray flying off
Keeping them a little hungry always helps to maintain their attention, especially if you want posed pictures. Making sudden noises or calling the dog's name will get great response looking pictures but be careful not to overdo it as you'll find it less of an effect.
A great trick you might want to try is to put a small treat on the top of your lens of the camera or get your helper to hold it close by to the camera.
If you are great, the producer thinks the casting director knows what she is doing. If you suck
replica Dolce gabbana, the casting director will feel self-conscious and wonder if her judgment is being re-evaluated.So let me assure you, everyone in the room is on your side! They want you to rock! The producers are sitting there wondering if they will ever find the right person for the job and the casting director is hoping you'll make them look good, and along you come kicking butt wherever you go and guess what? You're the hero of the day. Everyone will be so relieved that they found the right person for the job. So trust me, the whole room has their fingers crossed that you will be the right person for the job.6. Take Charge of Your Auditions (That's why they're called 'your' auditions).
Cage Birds
Birds have beautiful plumage and colours so try to avoid backgrounds where the colours or patterns are likely to clash with the bird's natural look.
If you can get your bird to sit on a perch or even a finger then they often make the best pictures. Ensure that the bird's body is positioned side-on with the full tail visible.
Photographing Cats
You will know your cat better than others and will understand what it will and won't do
Kittens are relatively easy so long as you have a piece of string or a small ball. Get down to their level and whilst they are playing keep the camera shooting especially when their curiosity makes them approach the lens. This works great in the garden as they peer through the grass as well as indoors on the carpet.
Small Animals
For mice, gerbils, hamsters and pet rats then an empty white bath can offer a safe place to get interesting shots.
Try using some sunflower seeds or other suitable treats to keep then still whilst you snap away.
Be creative with simple household props like shoes, boxes or even things like cups and bowls but one of my favourites is the clear Hamster play ball you can put them in but only if you get down to their level to take the pictures.
If it's a lovely warm day then try taking the Hamster or Rabbit into the garden and take advantage to the light as they eat away at the grass.
Would you like to take some lovely interesting pictures of your animals but your pet photography leaves you a little disappointed in the pictures when you see them? Well first of all you are not on your own but if you try some or all of these tips you will start getting great results like a seasoned professional does in no time.
General Tip
Continuous shooting will ensure you get the one shot which is just right as animals move and twitch so fast that by the time you press the shutter it will have moved ever so slightly.
Don't force it and know when enough is enough. An animal won't often sit still for long so be ready and fire away the moment they are in position.
Crop your pictures to cut out any background distractions in the picture as close cropping of pet shots sometimes generates stunning results
One of my favorite tricks for smaller animals is to get the owner under a blanket to hold it which is also what some people do when taking baby portrait photography shots
By the way, including children and other people in your shots can often produce some great moments but whatever you do make it fun and interesting and do enjoy your Pet Photography whatever your results.
