Newsletters Answers Directory Feeds IT Pros Consult Nontraditional Sources Posted Apr 05, 2011 Print Model Page 1 of 1
Wildfire PR, a public relations consultancy for information technology,
Office 2010, telecoms, consumer technology, and B2B companies, reported that IT pros were most likely to turn to social communities or search engines than to online news or industry presses when doing research for IT purchasing decisions. Social networks and online communities were ranked the most useful information resources by 58% of IT decision makers, followed by search engines,
Windows 7 Starter Key, online news sources,
Windows 7 Home Premium Product Key, and IT industry press sources.
The study also found that IT print publications are becoming less popular, and a quarter of all IT specialists surveyed said they got most of their IT news online. For both regular news and IT news,
Windows 7 License, the respondents' most popular resources were online. All of the surveyed IT experts were U.K.-based.
