With Six Strong Innings, Colon Keeps Himself in Mi

He may leave it next week as a member of their rotation. The effort impressed Manager Joe Girardi, who characterized Colon’s command as outstanding. Catcher, Russell Martin said Colon was “ready to go.” But where will Colon go? To the rotation? The bullpen? Or somewhere else?

Colon has spent the last month allaying concerns about his ability, emerging with better sink on his two-seamer and improved off-speed pitches. “His stuff has been outstanding. It’s been pretty good. We’ve just got to figure out what we’re going to do.”
