The stadium erupted when Zige Liu of the Speedo sponsored Chinese team made her way onto the poolside. It was a great start to the evening's competition as Speedo sponsored Dana Vollmer (USA) and Zige Li qualified for the final with times of 56.47 and 57.18 respectively. On qualifying in first place Dana said, "This morning was the strongest I have ever swum. It's such an amazing pool, the arena's huge, it was just awesome to walk in and see it. It didn't feel like the World Championships until I was here today and I think that helped me keep my nerves down it feels amazing to be here and swimming great." Men's 400m Freestyle Sun Yang of the Speedo sponsored Chinese team collected silver in the Men's 400m Freestyle with a time of 3:43.24. Women's 200m Individual Medley semi-final Stephanie Rice and Alicia Coutts of Team Speedo Australia and Hannah Miley of Team Speedo Great Britain qualified for the Women's 200m Individual Medley final with respective times of 2:09.65, 2:10.65 and 2:10.95. Men's <a href="http://www.cheaptruereligiononline.com/specials.html"><strong>levis jeans</strong></a> 50m Butterfly semi-finals Speedo's Geoff Huegill qualified in second place in the Men's 50m Butterfly semi-finals with a time of 23.26 On his performance he said, "I was really happy with that. I think at the age I am, 32, and to be still be able to come to these meets and swim personal bests, it's quite exciting." On competing in Shanghai Geoff said: "I love it. It's been 8 years since my last championships. To be able to get back in this sort of arena and be surrounded by like minded people, it's what I like best. It's going to be a tight race in the final tomorrow, I'm just looking forward to getting in there and enjoying it for what it is." Women's 400m Freestyle Rebecca Adlington (GBR) took home silver tonight in the 400m Freestyle with a time of 4:04.01. On taking second place on the podium she said: "I'm really pleased with that swim. After this morning's difficult swim to get silver tonight was amazing. On returning to China where she won 2 gold medals in 2008, she said, "It's really good, it's definitely a different experience for all us guys." On her hopes for the rest of the meet, she said: "I've got the 200m coming up and the 4X200m which is nice. It's a nice sprint event so no pressure, not expecting anything on those and then obviously the 800m at the end of the week." Speedo sponsored Camille Muffat took home bronze with a time of 4:04.06. Men's 100m Breaststroke Speedo <a href="http://www.cheaptruereligiononline.com/true-religion-bootcut-jeans-c-238.html"><strong>true religion outlet</strong></a> sponsored Fabio Scozzoli and Mark Gangloff of Team Speedo USA qualified for the final in the Men's 100m Breaststroke with respective times of 59.83 and 1:00.19. On his performance Fabio said: "I think I can do plenty better, this morning I swim good and in the afternoon, maybe I can do better. On his hopes for the rest of the championships, he continued: "I would like to work toward a medal. I feel good!" Women's 4x100m Freestyle Team Speedo Australia, Canada, USA and China battled in out in the women's 4x100m Freestyle relay. Team Speedo USA dominated the race with Speedo sponsored Natalie Coughlin first in the water and making impressive headway at the first lap. There's room for improvement in our relay but we are happy with our performance tonight." Dana Vollmer added: "It's a really good time every time we get to race against the Dutch." Jessica Hardy said: "Being a part of relays is always a favourite part of the meet. Obviously I don't like diving in when the three girls put me ahead and touching second definitely motivates me. I know that I can be faster, we can all be faster leading into next year." Men's 4x100m Freestyle Team Australia owned the race from the start in the Men's 4x100m Freestyle. New Speedo signing James Magnussen completed the first 100m with a time of 47.40 and a WR split. Speedo sponsored Eamon Sullivan concluded the race with an overall time of 3:11.00 Undefeated since 2005 in this event, the USA took bronze with a time of 3:11.96.
