BYU star is one to watch
One of the most-watched performers at the NCAA tournament will be Brigham Young guard Jimmer Fredette.
Though the Glens Falls, N.Y. native has mockingly been labelled “Adam Mormonson” due to similarities to former Gonzaga standout
Adam Morrison Jersey, BYU’s opponent, Wofford, is well aware his game is no joke.
Fredette averaged 28.5 points per game along with 4.0 assists on 40% shooting from long range and went off for four 40-plus performances this season including 52 against New Mexico.
Wofford coach Mike Young seems a little overwhelmed with how explosive Fredette is.
“I had to excuse myself from the film room and walk out in the hallway watching a replay of the New Mexico game,” Young told ESPN.
“It’s a quiet 52. He scores like he breathes.

BYU no longer has suspended star Brandon Davies, so stopping Fredette is a little bit easier than in the past, but the senior still has averaged 27 a night in the five games since Davies was kicked off the team.
“All the accolades and everything that’s come his way, he deserves every bit of it,” Young said.
