ITWire ran an intriguing tale that spotlights a new take around the netbook that may well hit the market quickly. In contrast to most netbooks which might be powered by possibly Linux or Windows XP, this netbook is powered by an iPhone.
What can only be described because the Palm Foleo 2.0, but for iPhones instead of Treos, this intriguing OLO system is rumored to make use of the OS in the iPhone to permit a far more productive, notebook-friendly experience associated with Internet browsing and day-to-day information entry in applications ranging from blog site posts, on-line docs, e-mail, and notes.
With OLO, the iPhone not only offers the OS, but additionally serves because the device’s trackpad.
While the Palm Foleo never made it to the marketplace, I hailed it as a trendsetting unit that would inevitbly force the migration and evolution from the phone becoming the central hub for all of our mobile communications and computing needs. It suffered from the right idea, but the wrong engineering and execution.
With the mass proliferation and enthusiasm of iPhones and their owners, the OLO may pave the way for a much more successful venture in placing the phone at the center of everything.
Time will tell however
Microsoft Office 2007 Pro Plus, as will the specs and details from the OLO iPholeo (not the real name) when they’re available.
I am intrigued.
