You do realize that some sacrifices must be made to properly run a business, don't you? You should make more sacrifices than your family, though. After all this is your choice, although they benefit in the long run. Decide as a family when to use family time and when they must respect your work time.
If you DO need a morning push, breakfast or coffee appointments work well to get you out of the house in the morning and on your way to a productive day.

Sit at a desk
I have two file boxes under the desk labeled "bill" and "receipts". Monthly paper bills or notes of online obligations are put in the "bills" box. Once paid, they migrate to the" receipt" box and join the business expense receipts for the month. At the end of the month, I create a file folder for that month and put it in the filing cabinet.
I use two baskets on the desk, labeled "today" and "this week". All mail, envelopes, letters, cards, and notes (reminders about these tasks that I do on the computer) go there.
Sitting upright keeps spine aligned and keeps you awake. If your chair is too uncomfortable and hurts your back or leads to too many coffee breaks, try the couch and TV tray rather than a recliner.
Working from home is exhausting, physically and mentally, so be sure to take medications, meals and supplements as needed. Make sure you stand up and move around regularly, or rest periodically if your work is physically active. You want to take care of the business so that it will take care of you, but you must survive the race to enjoy the prize.
Work without a TV, and try to keep radio programs mundane so they do not distract you. I tend to listen to talk radio, but some programs become so fascinating, I cannot concentrate, so I do my housework, laundry, or cooking when they are on and save work for when they are over.
Any system to organize the detritus of these tasks is okay, as long as all people using the office area can live with your method. Mine is probably the simplest.

Completing or following up on orders made or received might fall into the current week or month categories. Today events might include checking e-mails, calling clients or suppliers, and (the bane of my existence) opening the mail.
Minimize distractions
I learned rather than totally neglect certain things, they actually fell into categories,such as; RECURRING, THIS WEEK, THIS MONTH, and TODAY.

Plan to work a set number of hours every week, even if the times and length of days will vary. After all, it is your business and you should have the right to be flexible. When I want an extra day off, I add the hours to my week or day ahead of time, so I do not feel guilty about the loss of time.
Get going in the morning
I know. I am the worst-organized person. My office constantly looks like a tornado's aftermath, and it seems to take more energy and money to get organized than it is worth.
If you can, put your office in a building other than your house. Maybe rent a desk in a friend's real estate office, plug in your laptop, bring your files, and work. Make a schedule
If these are not real options for you, try to keep your in-home office areas away from bedrooms, living room, and centers of entertainment. (I had to move all the books from the shelves in the spare room I was using as an office because I prefer a good book to working anytime!)
My one concession to the professional definition of time management is to keep an ongoing planner with short and long-range tasks written down, and then expanded as necessary to make sure all commitments are honored. This is the single most important area of discipline for any home business. If you do not meet your obligations to customers, creditors, family, and yourself, you will experience very limited success.
Try to multi-task family time. Use dinner together or favorite TV shows (including Saturday mornings) as a time to reconnect with each other. Sometimes bedtime stories with each child where they tell you the story of their day, washing supper dishes, morning or afternoon family walks with the dog, etc.
