Middletown schools have quite the busy schedule this week Formal dresses, from an asthma workshop to a fashion show grad dresses, Mardi Gras dance and more:
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
* The Middletown Music Boosters are collecting used band instruments in any condition to benefit the music programs at Gaudet Middle School and Middletown High School. Donations can be dropped off at the main office of either school. For more information, call 846-7250.
* A Middletown Public Schools District budget workshop is scheduled for Thursday, March 17 at 6 p.m. followed by a School Committee meeting at 7 p.m. in the Oliphant Administration Building.
Please note that the March Megafreeze Plunge at Second Beach to benefit the Athletic Boosters previously scheduled for Saturday, March 23 has been canceled.
MIDDLETOWN HIGH SCHOOL
* A Chemical Health Presentation will be held Wednesday, March 16 in the MHS gymnasium for all MHS students and parents of students participating in spring sports and extra-curricular activities.
* The MHS National Honor Society will host a fashion show featuring prom dresses and tuxedos on Wednesday, March 16 at 7 p.m. The show will feature 40 students and 12 faculty members. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and refreshments will be available. For more information, contact clarson@mpsri.net.
GAUDET MIDDLE SCHOOL
* The GMS Parent-Teacher Group will meet on Tuesday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the GMS Library. All parents and teachers are welcome to attend.
* The GMS Parent-Teacher Group will host a Mardi Gras dance on Friday, March 18 in the GMS Cafeteria. The dance is open to students in grades 7 and 8. Tickets are $8 will be sold during lunch only. No tickets will be sold at the door. For more information, call 846-6395.
AQUIDNECK SCHOOL
* The Aquidneck School Book Fair is scheduled for Monday, March 14.
* Aquidneck School will have guest readers on Tuesday, March 15 and Wednesday, March 16.
* A new five week Elementary Yoga session will begin on Wednesday, March 16 for students in grades 1 to 3 at Forest Avenue School and Aquidneck School. Pre-registration is required and the classes cost $50 for five weeks. For more information cheap Wedding dresses, contact cgeer@mpsri.net.
* Hasbro Children’s Hospital will sponsor an asthma workshop at Aquidneck School on Wednesday, March 16 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The program is free, but pre-registration is required. For more information plus size prom dresse, call 444-8340.
* Family Reading Night will take place at the Aquidneck School on Thursday cheap prom dresses, March 17 at 5:30 p.m.
FOREST AVENUE SCHOOL
* Registration is now open to students in grades 1 to 3 for Calling All Chefs, an after school cooking class scheduled for Wednesday, March 16. Pre-registration is required and the cost is $25 per class. For more information, contact cgeer@mpsri.net.
