Downloads
Downloads are currently available for BSDi, Linux, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, and Solaris.
The table below lists the most recent builds for the various supported
platforms and system configurations. Select the build that most closely matches your system, and click the corresponding PHPA version link.
Each download is a gzipped tar file.
Don't see PHPA for your PHP Version Here?
Often different PHP versions have no changes to affect PHPA. Just pick
the build for the PHP release that matches or comes before the version
of PHP that you are using.
After downloading unpack the tar file, windows 7 x86, e.g. using 'tar zxf'. Each release unpacks to its own directory and contains the PHPA library and installationconfiguration notes. There are also
notes specific to some platforms.
Release 1.3.3
Read the release, install, and configuration notes for this release. Please note that PHPA will not currently accelerate cgi scripts.
Release 1.3.2 Revision 2
Read the release, install, and configuration notes for this release.
Additional Info on 1.3 releases (24 May)
Unfortunately this is not stated clearly enough in the current release notes, but the shm_user and shm_group ini settings must be set to the apache usergroup settings, even if shm_perms are set to 666, otherwise apache restarts may not always be successful.
There is more information about this.
If using a standalone PHP program, e.g. as a cgi program, then the current
1.3 releases will show a message about SERVER_NAME being unset. Two solutions are to use
a different php.ini file for standalone php, or to disable PHPA by setting
the phpa php.ini variable to 0 on the PHP command line.
1.3.1 pre-release available (16 May)
Pre-release builds of version 1.3.1 are available for Linux and Solaris. The 1.3.1 release
squeezes a little more acceleration from the PHP engine than release 1.3.0 and previous releases,Microsoft Office 2010 Clave De Producto, and fixes some minor issues with 1.3.0.
Release 1.3.1
Read the release, install, and configuration notes for this release.
Release 1.3.0
Read the release, install, and configuration notes for this release.
Release 1.2p4
Read the release, install, and configuration notes for this release.
Known issues for this release
On more heavily loaded sites this release can produce warnings saying "Lock header held by unknown pid". Unfortunately this can occur
because of a valid reason, and the warnings can and should be ignored.
The next release corrects this.
BUG upgrade for phpa_cache_admin 1.2p4 (20 Apr)
Please note that there is a bug in the phpa_cache_admin utility that forms
part of the 1.2p4 release, and the program distributed with the 1.2p4 release
packages (except for PHP 4.2.0) should not be used. The builds for
PHP 4.2.0 contain the bug fix.
The bug affects all platforms.
Please also note that this is not a bug in PHPA itself, and provided that phpa_cache_admin is not run, PHPA will operate correctly.
Fixed versions for linux are available below,Office 2007 Activation Clé, and this bug is fixed in release 1.3.
phpa_cache_admin (linux glibc 2.1.3)
phpa_cache_admin (linux glibc 2.2)
NOTE for Sparc Builds (27 Mar)
Some Sparc builds or platforms
may produce bus errors in the apache error log. The solution is known and
being incorporated into 1.3. 1.3 is expected to be releaased around the end
of April.
Release 1.2p3
Read the release,Windows 7 Starter Product Key, install,Microsoft Office 2010 32 Bits, and configuration notes for this release.
Release 1.2
Read the release, install, and configuration notes for this release.
Addendum to documentation for 1.2 (30 Jan)
Please note that release 1.2p3 works around the following issue and now
accepts the use of on and off in virtual host sections.
The current documentation states that PHPA can be enabled or disabled in apache virtual host sections by setting the phpa ini setting to 'on' or 'off'.
However a possible bug or misfeature in PHP itself causes the words 'on' and 'off'
to be unrecognised. Instead use 1 to enable phpa. i.e.
php_value phpa 1 to enable phpa in virtual host sections.
Contributors
Many thanks to the following people and organisations for their time and
resources in producing ports and builds for PHPA. Your help is much
appreciated.
