At the HP webOS celebration right now, HP announced a trio of new units that can be working on webOS. First up we have the HP Veer – a very small smartphone that doesn’t skimp out on any features. It is the size of a credit card and no thicker than a deck of cards – expect it to be a hit with the ladies. It runs on webOS 2, with support for Adobe Flash, and packs a very small screen with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The HP Veer packs an 800MHz processor, a 2.57″ display, 8 GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera,
Office 2010 Activation, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and HP Touchstone support. Instead of following the “bigger is better” route that most manufacturers are on now, HP might have gotten it right with this little form factor webOS smartphone. No price has been mentioned, but expect it to be available in early spring.
