Brothers and Sisters seasons 4

"False short AND exceeds expectations. ""I own every Doctor Who available (even discontinued) so I've followed the old doc from the November 23 debut (delayed a day because of the JFK assassination) in which William Hartnell had parked the TARDIS in a London junkyard in order to send his granddaughter to school.The sets and effects were poor even by the standards of the time but the stories were most always 30 Rock dvd 1-4 solid and generally had decent science. I feel that this fifth season of the 'new' Doctor falls short on story and science.I have to agree with several points made in the Richard C. Drew Army Wives dvd box review but maybe less harshly.The quality of writing is down a bit.Logic and science are often ignorned.Explanations are often thin (like Bones en movies how did Rory recycle).The 'love' factor where emotions trump science.Lack of origaninality shown Boston Legal seasons 5 by bringing back the same old revived bad guys.Big drop in special effects (remember the TARDIS flying through traffic a couple of years ago?).The new TARDIS looks too junky inside. Also, bring back all the rooms - could even do a show on it.The eleventh doctor... not so bad. A always miss the old doctor for awhile then get used to the new one. As to Matt Smith, I didn't like anything about him at the Boston Legal complete very first, but he grew on me. By the end of the season I liked him quite well (but a return to David Tenent wouldn't upset me). He just needs a better writer.Finally, I'd like to see some fresh stuff; new planets, new Boston Legal series dvd aliens, solid science, better stories, an updated K-9 (like a robot that looks like a real dog),"" possibly a multiple-doctor story (that happened a few times before).P.S. I like the new companions. """""
"Monsters and Monster Dissapointment ""This is not the first time that a wonderful show has 24 hours 1-8 box set turned the corner and gone off the path. The Big Love dvds box set last Doctor is hard to replace so I did not expect someone to try to be him. The new doctor is a good actor and appears to read the lines with some energy,"" but he just is not into the role. Brothers and Sisters series 1-4 box set He has no expressions what so ever. Many of these episodes involve monsters and those are not very good. When there is mostly people involved the Dr. and the stories are at least pleasant. His new Army Wives seasons side kick is a twenty something who looks 17 and adds little to the show. Once River Song shows up there is relief from the slow moving slog through a season long storyline. In my opinion the last 4 episodes are pretty good. THe first 9 not so much. box set of Ally McBeal When paying $60 plus for a season of a show why do we have to be subject dvd Big Love to advertising that is hard Breaking Bad 2 dvd to get around? This season actually makes Torchwood seem like a better show. """""
"Just not my Doctor Who ""As a lifelong Dr. Who fan who is 52 years old, I have to say, this is just not my Dr. Who. First off, he's just too young. But, more so, he's just not The Doctor. He is a kid who is full of himself and clearly out of his league. I have watched every dvd box set Big Love episode of this new season with Matt Smith desperately looking for something to like. I cannot, and have box set tv shows 30 Rock not found it. I believe that the writers are going back to the original plan in writing the story for children this time around. It's sad, Big Love complete dvd box set because David Tennant was an excellent doctor. As Army Wives seasons on dvd was Christopher Eccelston, and all who came before him. I even liked the Peter Cushing doctor, and the Paul McGann Dr. as well. I know many fans liked neither. I feel I am a true fan. I loved William Hartnell and the so called clown Patrick Troughton. Though, to this day, Jon Pertwee is my favorite, Tom Baker second, and Chris E. third, then David Tennant. There has not been one story with Matt Smith that I have felt worthy of wanting to own.{****Spoiler Alert**** Read on at your own risk} The final episode as pointed out by another reviewer just wipes out the whole story of the Matt Smith's first season, what a cop-out. That in itself is the kookiest (for lack of a better term) choice the writers ever could have made. The whole was that Amy brings him back by remembering him makes no sense at Bones box set 1-5 all. I guess the main thing about science fiction that makes me love it, and always has, Big Love dvd complete is the science part dvd in Boston Legal of it. They seem to have taken the science out of this season of Dr. Who with this particular Dr. I won't buy it, I have purchased most of every other dvd out there containing Dr. Who. I have all 4 of the prior seasons, Big Love seasons three and most of the specials, most of the Bones seasons one dvd dvd's of the earlier doctors as well. "Packaging and content issues ""The packaging was a real disappointment in that it was cheap paper that scuffed almost immediately when putting the DVD case into the sleeve. The case itself is an embarrassment because the plastic disc holder is held in place by a single piece of tape that has come free a month after receipt. I'm hoping I can still return dvd box 24 hours this.As for content, that is more disappointing than cheap packaging, which for any collector is saying everything. While the production values seem to have increased and the FX have improved, the storylines and characterization have gone back a step. While they seem slightly interesting while watching them, they do not have the sweetheart characterization needed for repeat viewing. I won't be pulling this out on a whim like I do Breaking Bad the complete series the previous four seasons. It seems to me that Moffat has cached a couple of great episodes into a fantastic ego trip. In the seasons one Ally McBeal extras he talks about how great his Weeping Angels are but he doesn't seem House MD series to realize that the actress who played Sally deserves half the credit because it was her reaction to the situation that gripped the viewer, not the statues. Great lines AND a great actress made that episode great. That doesn't translate to this season, but to be fair it wasn't because of the acting. Matt Smith has a good Doctor but the poor man has to deal with too many ad absurdum one-liners that distance his Bones 1-5 box set character from the viewer. Karen Gillan is ok but has more leg than talent, "I'm dressed for Rio!" seems to be a poor excuse to keep her dressed teen-skimpy.After seeing this,"" I won't be getting the Christmas Special or the next season unless House MD seasons complete they great outrageously rave reviews.
