JERSEY athletes Lauren Thérin, Simon Phelan and Peter Irving always won awards in the British Universities Sports Association Track and Field championships in Glasgow final weekend.
Thérin came away with a bronze medal as javelin after darting a PB of 44.76; a silver in the discus event (39.99m,birkenstock sandals, and a bronze medal as portion of the Bath University 4 x 100m relay team.
She also produced a PB of 12.42m in the shot event as she achieved fourth.
Phelan’s silver came in the tall bound.
With muscular winds and ponderous rain making conditions difficult for all the athletes, the event was stopped after the 2.05m jumps,MBT Sport, and Phelan won the silver medal on countback.
