A new media era for the UK
Today was the first Sunday in which, after many years, a famous tabloid in the UK was not printed. News of the World, published its last run on Sunday
Cheap Tiffany Jewellery, with a tribute to all the scoops and glorious front pages over the 160 or so years it has been printed.
News of the World has left a void while in the newspaper market inside the UK, and has led into a very interesting media era that still needs to unfold. Rupert Murdock, the media tycoon in the UK, well also in the US, seems to have finally started loosing his grip on controlling most of the British media.
The phone hacking scandal, which has shock the UK public opinion, had been underestimated by Murdock who while in the last 2 weeks has tried to hold on stubbornly to his position and his people. Ultimately having to succumb to letting go of News of the World, its CEO (NEWS International) and his close friend Rebecca Brooks, the CEO of Dow Jones and Murdock’s right hand in the US Les Hinton, his bid for satellite television BSkyB, and appear in front of the Culture Committee of the English Parliament on Tuesday for questioning, he had strongly resisted this.

DAY 2
Today is the last session of the second PrepCom meeting. The stakeholders are joining forces for having a better understanding how to define and design a fair and green economy. The EESC delegation attended at 8.00 am. a very interesting side-event on the “transition to a green economy” We have approached a few speakers after the session and have provided information about the EESC specific activities for the Rio+20 process. Some of them had already in their agenda the hearing the SDO is organising on March 23.

Poland: a tonic for Europe
The newly-inaugurated Polish Presidency will act as a tonic for Europe. For two main reasons: first, with its ambitious programme based on pro-European values, Poland is promoting greater EU integration in the interests of growth
Diamond Tiffany, especially in the current euro crisis; second
Cheapest Pandora Bracelets, the strong commitment of the Polish government shows that "new Europe" is becoming an old-fashioned label for some of the Member States that joined the EU in 2004.
