　　大营盘很多家长没读过书，他们觉得孩子会写名字就可以了，村里十七八岁结婚十分常见。一名四年级的女生 ，父母想让她退学结婚，张平宜严正地告诉他们，如果不让孩子读完小学，就要把4年来所有生活补助都退回来。 对另一名要退学结婚的六年级学生，张平宜“威胁”他父母，如果不让他参加毕业考试，不但要赔6年的生活费， 甚至要向公安局举报他们“信奉邪教”。稀奇古怪的“狠招”每每见效，两个孩子都留在了学校。
　　张平宜不爱应酬，没有在当地交下权贵显要的朋友,shoes asics。但是走在大营盘，她常会遇到一些老妇人，用生硬的汉语说：“你好，张阿姨。”虽然张平宜对此有点恼火：“ 我有这么老吗”，但村里人对她确是“下自成蹊”。

　　2005年，大营盘小学终于迎来了建校19年的第一届毕业生,asics nimbus 12。当孩子们欢欢喜喜拍摄毕业照时，张平宜又为这些20岁左右的小学毕业生的前途忧心。2008年，张平宜利 用弟弟在青岛投资的公司，开办了“希望之翼学苑”，为初中毕业的麻风村孩子提供为期两年的培训机会。为了孩 子，她没少和弟弟吵架。
　　1999年，台湾女记者张平宜随国际组织到云南、四川等地麻风村调查。作为两个孩子的母亲，麻风村目不 识丁的孩子深深刺痛了她的心。她决心帮助他们上学读书，走出封闭，回归社会。
　　在大营盘，张平宜以“凶悍”闻名。


　　2002年，张平宜募集到30万元人民币的善款，将大营盘小学原有的两间破旧平房，改建成6间教室及生 活用房，新学校为大营盘的孩子掀开了新页：15岁的拉且卖掉了16只羊：“我不要放羊，我要读书”；14岁 的药布兴奋得一夜没睡，吵着要去上学；已经是孩子爸爸的布都辍学8年，重返校园……

　　2006年张平宜过生日时，本来没声张，不知怎么搞的，消息不胫而走。当天她共收到130多个鸡蛋、鸭 蛋和5只鸡，还收到汽水、饼干、啤酒和鞭炮。村民家有喜事杀了牛,Cheap Asics Running Shoes，会把最好的部位送给她，用自己的方式表达心中的感激。

　　近年来，张平宜更多的是在和辍学打工风潮“抢”孩子。2008年寒假，初二的沙马一时性起，随老乡到湖 北打工。张平宜听说后，千方百计找到他的电话，把他骂了一通，又紧急寄去700元路费让他回来上学。正读初 二的阿沙说，初一时他还没来得及行动，“便被张阿姨发现、狠狠说了一通，打消了退学打工的念头”。对孩子们 ，张平宜最常用的“威胁”是：如果不坚持读书，就“再也不要见张阿姨”。这句看去无力的“狠话”却甚有效， “得到我的祝福对他们很重要”，张平宜开心地说。
　　2005年,Jordan Spizikes 薄熙来称两个盲人爸爸很伟大，张平宜参加了一项圆梦计划，赢得170万元新台币，加上其他善款，她要将学校再扩大。扩建工程困难重重， 她与相关部门交涉、与村民吵架，她的“凶悍”再次派上用场。在她的努力下，学校最终扩建成一栋教学楼、一栋 宿舍楼，成为拥有篮球场、乒乓球桌的美丽校园。


　　圣诞前夜，在台北一个教堂门口，冷风中的张平宜，拿朋友送给她的漂亮蜡烛筹款，站了一晚都没开张；第二 天再出发，也只卖了一份蜡烛。她的执著感动了同事和朋友。在他们的帮助下，邀集明星助阵，一个晚上义卖了6 0万元新台币。还有一些朋友送来库存商品，“电蚊拍、洗发水……捐什么我就卖什么。”张平宜说，“头一两年 ，我躬背哈腰，到处募款，发疯似的卖蜡烛、卖书，度过一段食不知味、夜不成眠的疲累岁月。”
　　这之后，她辞职在台湾成立了中华希望之翼服务协会。
　　张平宜有时简直异想天开。水，一直是大营盘小学最大困扰之一，从十几公里引来的水，经常因为水管被踩断 而断水，要靠高年级学生走一两公里提水，食堂才能不断炊。2005年就建好的宿舍楼，自来水管直到2009 年12月才流出水来。张平宜却坚持投资十几万元人民币，建了一个太阳能浴室，让孩子们能洗个痛快的热水澡。 此举就连大营盘小学最早的老师王文福也不能理解。但是，现在的大营盘，有牙刷的家庭一定有小学生，学生宿舍 里叠成豆腐块的被子，摆得整整齐齐的牙具、脸盆，才能体会这所学校带来的无声变革。

　　凉山州有十几个乡村早年作为麻风病患的隔离聚居地，大营盘是其中之一。由于外界的误解，多年来，村民们 出村买油盐都会遭到辱骂，很多孩子更没机会读书或早早辍学。沙马第一次上学，只上了几天，“他们都说我爷爷 得了那个病,asics shoes men，我不喜欢被人说来说去。”

　　23岁的铁石最遗憾自己没能上学读书，但是他的两个弟弟都在大营盘小学毕业，现在分别在读职高和初中。 “是张阿姨改变了我们的命运，这感谢一辈子都说不完。”
　　让张平宜更难过的是，夹在特殊的两岸关系中，她曾遭到很多莫名其妙的误解。10余年前，少有台湾人到大 凉山，越西县台办一度只为她一个人服务。张平宜的频繁出入，曾被怀疑有特殊目的，为此她自嘲是“麻风特务一 号”。
