FINEX is at the heart of POSCO's push to reduce its carbonfootprint. The firm says it uses cheaper raw materials such asiron ore fines and non-coking coal to make steel, reducesproduction costs and produces fewer greenhouse gas emissionscompared to traditional blast furnaces.
POSCO is also seeking to build steel mills using FINEXtechnology in China in partnership with Chinese steelmakers
