BlackBerry Curve 8530- Hara has raised $45 million

There are a handful of companies,HTC Desire, including C3 and ENXSuite,Nikon L22 Red, developing these types of applications. SAP has a "sustainability dashboard" product as part of its enterprise software suite and HP partnered to offer Hara's product to customers.
Start-up Hara said today it has secured $25 million from venture and corporate investors to further develop its software for managing corporations' energy and environmental footprint.
"Effective energy and environmental management is now a business imperative that requires full accountability from companies and their stakeholders across industries,Nokia 6133," said Lane,Sony HDR-HC7, who was president of Oracle before becoming a venture investor,Sony W350/B Black, in a statement.
The investment gives Hara the wherewithal to further enhance its online application and sales force in the fledgling field of energy and environmental management software. Hara said it has about 50 customers which use its software to track and reduce energy use and other resources,BlackBerry Bold 9700, such as water and waste.
Hara's dashboard allows managers to track different energy and environmental metrics, including greenhouse gases.
Because businesses can spend a lot of money on energy,Sony T99 Black, making a 10 percent or 20 percent reduction can mean significant savings,Motorola V950, according to executives at energy management companies. Some businesses have set efficiency and waste-reduction targets,Nokia 3710 black, which can be monitored and managed in software,Canon SX210 IS Purple, as part of corporate sustainability initiatives.

Software industry veteran Ray Lane,Motorola i580 black, who is an investor at Kleiner,BlackBerry Curve 8530, Perkins,Olympus T-100, Caufield & Byers,Apple iPhone 3G 16GB white, will become chairman of Hara's board. Other investors included General Electric,Motorola E8, ConocoPhilips,HTC Surround, utility NRG Energy,Toshiba A665, and Japanese industrial company Itochu. Including this series C round,JVC GZ-MS130, Hara has raised $45 million.
