There’s a new development among brides being reported by MyLove-Dress.com. Newly married brides are not preserving their
princess bridal dress for posterity as much anymore. Instead a great deal of newly wed ladies are taking a unique direction when it comes to the dresses that they said their vows on their wedding day.
Here’s a brief look at what I think can be a bizarre way to remember your wedding day, from the Philadelphia Inquirer.

When brides spend countless hours finding – after which fitting into – the perfect wedding dress, it’s no wonder they eventually have that pricey number professionally cleaned and packed away for future family heirloom status.
But more ladies are taking a decidedly unique approach to preservation: trashing the dress, and documenting it.
Whether it’s days or many years after the big bash, former brides are letting loose for edgy photo shoots by which the dress is trashed (by mud, grass, paint, water, urban grime, sand) for fashion-style images fit for the pages of Vogue. The ladies’ variety of rationale: something from looking for catharsis to savoring memories.
“If you have been a ‘Bridezilla’ or were genuinely stressed out throughout the wedding, it’s a superb way to allow go and show you are not taking yourself so seriously,” said Heather Levine, senior fashion editor for MyLove-Dress.com. “Plus, some brides feel if they made this commitment to their husband for the rest of the lives, they won’t call for that dress again anyway.”
A recent poll on
cheap bridal gowns the wedding website discovered that 11 percent of brides were opting to “trash the dress” – as it’s come being known as – instead than preserving or marketing it. Shoots start close to $500 but additional fees kick in for albums or prints, and sometimes ladies buy a secondhand or less costly gown for the celebration if they don’t wish to placed their actual dress at risk.
