MILLINER Jane Taylor - who we forecast would be one to watch last June (read her debut interview here) - has launched a ready-to-wear line that makes her designs even more irresistible than before.
"The pieces are selling really quickly and I'm continually buying new materials,waterproof timberland shoes," said Taylor. "The collection is great because although it's more affordable than my bespoke range (ready-to-wear prices from ￡120-￡290), all of the pieces are still hand finished. Taylor's timeless and flattering?pieces fuse her love of classic shapes with innovative, new?millinery techniques. The designer says she finds inspiration in?everything from art to architecture to science.
"When I was at university I found a book in the library about the scientist and illustrator Ernst Haeckel. He documented natural forms from coral to birds in greater detail than had ever been produced before but brought to it his own fantastical dream like quality,Asics Mini," Taylor told us. "The soft tonal colours of his wonderful pictures never fail to inspire me and transport me to another world. I often want to start scribbling after I have looked at his images."
And her career highlight so far?
"I was fortunate enough to be invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace a few months ago for the British Clothing Industry where I met both The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. It was an incredibly proud moment,abercrombie jackets," she said.
Jane's designs have attracted a celebrity following,MBT Shuguli GTX, including Paloma Faith,cheap dunks online, but she assures us that she is just as happy seeing her work on unknown customers.
"Obviously, it's always nice when someone well known wears one of my pieces and is photographed looking amazing, but I honestly get as much satisfaction from that as I do from seeing one of my non-celebrity clients leaving my studio really happy with one of my hats," she told us.
