Default Windows 7 Starter blog sound-of-silence

Simon & Garfunkel's epic lyrics were an anthem for my generation. Who can forget a young Dustin Hoffman staring thoughtfully into a fish tank with the words saying…"Hello darkness,Microsoft Office 2010 Standard, my old friend; I have come to talk to you again.” Today, the "sounds of silence" seems to be what job seekers experience when they apply for jobs. As one waits impatiently for some communication,Windows 7 Starter, the stillness is stifling. Dustin Hoffman's character (Benjamin Braddock) in The Graduate,Office 2007, was drawn to the silence because of uncertainties about the course his career direction. Today's graduates (as well as most job seekers) are forced into a silent mode because of uncertainties generated by a lack of feedback from their position inquiries. Advancements in technology have created such refined process that a job seeker can see a job posting and be in the application process with a couple of clicks. All this technology has enhanced the process at the expense of the human touch. The 21st Century job seeker has come to expect a lack of feedback in the application process. Social media offers a great way for the job seeker to break the silence. Given the social networking phenomenon,Purchase Office 2010, this avenue should allow the job seeker to identify and engage a key influencer at a company that interests them. This approach should work well when you apply at Microsoft as a recent survey indicated we are the most social company. As a new member of the Jobsblog team, I am going to focus on using social media to find a job. I will write about how to incorporate LinkedIn,Office Enterprise 2007, Facebook & Twitter to make some noise about your job candidacy.

Happy Hunting,
Marvin
