The God of Thunder has earned release-date positioning formerly enjoyed by Tony Stark in both Iron Man movies, but Thor is the Marvel Universe character with question marks over his head in terms of this movie's blockbuster/franchise potential. I love and trust Kenneth Branagh as a director of drama, and even die-hard comics fans should be impressed with his Shakespearean take on these gods and mortals. I am, quite simply, worried about Branagh as an action director and The Office Season 7 DVD Boxset whether he can render a seriously entertaining mainstream movie. (To be fair, we had the same concerns about Jon Favreau several years ago, and he at least got his franchise off to a great start initially.) Okay, so what I'm really indicating is that I hope this doesn't play like a Julie Taymor superhero film.
