Dear friend and fellow yelper Lydia C. suggested we meet here for brunch. The place is snazzy for sure, and I love the chi chi ambiance! Clean lines, high ceilings, white and more white greets you as you enter the restaurant. The brunch/lunch menu is extensive. The adults got breakfast/brunch items, and my son got the margherita pizza. The food is good, the presentation better - we ordered basic eggs, sausage, mushroom stuff. My son really enjoyed his pizza and ate the whole thing. The portobello fries are a definite highlight - so delicious!
Of course Newport 100s, we had to stop by the bakery and pick up some macarons. At $1.75 apiece, I kept my purchase to 3 - the chocolate, vanilla and earl grey. The shattering of the outside shell Newport Red 100, the smoosh of the inside shell Cheap Newport, the flavored filling of each macaron... perfection! Although I haven't really had a macaron I didn't like...
