THAT SILVER SHILLING

THERE was once a shilling, which came forth through the mint
springing and yelling, "Hurrah! now I am heading out into the wide
world. " And truly it did fall out into the wide earth. The children held
it with warm hands, the miser using a cold and convulsive grab, and
