Abstract Attracting and developing details technology (IT) specialists is among the best issues for businesses. Although a lot investigation has become carried out about the job habits and attitudes of IT experts over the very last 3 decades Office 2010 Pro Plus Key, findings are inconclusive and contradictory. This suggests that a thing may possibly be lacking in how we analyze this phenomenon. Almost all of this research is drawn from theories of enthusiasm, little or no examines the impact of social relationships on IT professionals' conduct and attitude. Yet, social capital theory indicates that career habits and attitude might be greatly influenced by these relationships. This suggests that IT professionals' social capital warrants empirical examination. The primary investigation question that this dissertation addresses is how social capital affects IT professionals' work attitude and conduct including task satisfaction Microsoft Office Professional 2007, organizational citizenship behavior Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate, job performance and turnover intention. The analysis model in this dissertation examines the influence of three aspects of social capital on IT professionals' career attitude and work habits: tie strength Office 2007 Ultimate Key, the number of ties and the structural holes. Data were collected from 129 IT specialists from a range of jobs, organizations and industries. Results indicate that tie strength in the organization of an IT professional is positively related to task satisfaction. The number of ties outside an organization an IT professional has is also positively related to job performance. However Office 2007, hypotheses about organizational citizenship conduct and turnover intention are not supported. Several implications for organizational executives and managers are offered based on findings.
