Hilary Alexander reviews the Jasper Conran spring/summer 2010 collection from London Fashion Week.


You would be forgiven for thinking London Fashion Week had turned into a lingerie love-in. You can hardly move for bras,Asics running shoes, corsets and knickers.
Yet,monster headphone, conversely, one pair of white jeans featured bondage straps.
In one of his most titillating shows yet,mens timberland boots, Jasper Conran played with variations on the corset and brassiere.

Sheer tulle vest-tops, barely concealed delicate bras beneath. A balloon-sleeved,asics footwear, hourglass short-dress was sculpted over a corset. Lacy corsets accompanied full, prom-skirts or else skintight jeans, with ribbon-corset lacing up the back of the legs. The fragility was enhanced by the colour scheme of palest flesh-tones, ivory and white.
One-shoulder blousons with petal-cut mini skirts, prom-frocks strewn with leather and organza flowers and retro-blouson dresses in gold and silver sequins provided another option for evenings out. And Conran showed the perfect jacket and dress ensemble, in cream, the cropped jacket short enough to focus attention on the waist - and it was corseted at the back.

Today I am leaving for a two week vacation to Europe. My long lost college roommate and I are going to be hitting up Spain and Italy and in Italy Vlad will be meeting up with us for a Gondola ride or two! I am super excited for this vacation and this time will actually be vacationing. We are lucky enough to have someone who will write posts for me while I am gone, Nerdphanie! You all remember her as a guest blogger! Now she is signed on as a two week blogger to fill my spot. She will bring you lots of new bags and goodies to look at.
