How to format windows 7 ultimate without removing the windows itself?

I have Windows 7 Starter 32 Bit on my computer right now. It was pre-loaded on the Windows 7 Activation. I'd like to upgrade it to Windows 7 Professional X86. I am also planning on buying a Mac. Will I be able to load the Windows 7 Home Premium X64 version on that also? Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit advance for your help.
